Providence Prayer by Trevin Wax (adapted from the Heidelberg Catechism):
Faithful Father,
We praise you for your almighty and ever present power.
We trust in the power of your hand,
which upholds heaven and earth and all creatures.
We trust in the goodness of your rule
over leaf and blade,
rain and drought,
fruitful and lean years,
food and drink,
health and sickness,
prosperity and poverty
knowing that all things come to us
not by chance but from your fatherly hand.
Help us to be patient when things go against us,
thankful when things go well,
and confident for the future,
knowing that nothing will separate us from your love.
